Visiting Baguio City and BenguetThe name Baguio conjures, for both the international and domestic traveler, a highland retreat in the Grand Cordillera in Northern Luzon, with pine trees, crisp cold breezes and mountain ranges. It has made its mark as a premiere tourist destination in the Northern part of the Philippines with its cool climate, foggy hills, panoramic views and lovely flowers. Baguio is 8 degrees cooler on the average than any place in lowlands. Baguio is very wet during the rainy season, which is from June to October. From November to May, Baguio becomes a tropical paradise, a refreshing break from the hot and humid Philippine climate. Trip Advisory: Baguio is about a 5-6 hour bus ride north of Manila, and about a 3-4 hour bus ride north of Pampanga province. It was created by law to carryout programs along instruction, research, extension, and agribusiness through dynamic and responsive governance.
Apart from its academic purpose, the University boosted in initiating and developing worthwhile technologies. The researches of the university has been recognized because of its contribution to the improvement of the science and the arts. Benguet State University has three campuses: La Trinidad Campus, Bokod Campus, and Buguias Campus. Trip Advisory: Benguet State University is about 10-20 minute ride from Northeast of Baguio City. It is located at Km 5, La Trinidad, Benguet. Strawberry Farm in La Trinidad, Benguet lets visitors pick the strawberries themselves. Tourists can choose a farm for their strawberry-picking and pay for their harvest afterward. Price per kilo is slightly higher than if they were to buy the strawberries pre-packed by the vendors. Still, it’s a fun experience for kids and city folks not used to the farm life.
It may be hard to believe, but there are people who do not know what a strawberry plant looks like. That’s why many tourists do try to include La Trinidad’s Strawberry Farm in their itinerary. By picking the fruits themselves, farm visitors are sure to take home the freshest strawberry fruits. Visitors can opt to simply buy pre-packed strawberries from vendors lined along the farm’s roadside.
